The Divine Right of Geese

By Reebo & Julia

There is an overwhelming presence of Canadian geese in the District. Whatever your opinion of these “invasive species”, Canadian geese have become a pillar of DC wildlife and are here to stay. In the same vein, colonialism and imperialism have ravaged this country, leaving a permanent mark on our landscapes, bodies, and rights. We beg viewers to ask themselves, what (or who) is the real invasive in DC? This installation is on Piscataway and Nacotchtank (Anacostan) land.
