Community Tables: Breakfast Bites

This season of Community Tables, we are meeting you where you are with a variety of options to join us at the Southwest Duck Pond in August. The themes are connection, adventure, and growth! This annual community program focuses on getting to know your Southwest neighbors. This event is first come, first served, and the seats fill up quickly, so don’t be late! Save the dates on your calendars for the full 2-hour program to win prizes and meet your neighbors. All are welcome and it’s free to attend. We love dogs, too, but please leave Fido at home for our event.

Activities include:
- Choose your adventure: Guests can choose between Southwest trivia, sharing stories, asking questions, or sitting and drinking coffee.
- Poetry: community poem by the community about the community (each table writes one line)
- SW (not) STRANGERS GAME: Guests write a person’s name and a sentence about their connection to Southwest, or they write about a favorite place in Southwest and share details on why. We will read a few of these together.
- Postcard: send a postcard to yourself in the future (prompt and more direction on this in person)
- A poet will read the poems they wrote during the event
- Prizes
- Optional short grounding meditation at the end
