SWBID & Art All Night

Southwest DC is lighting up for Art All Night with two celebrations of creativity! At the Southwest Neighborhood Library, enjoy family-friendly fun activities for all ages. Up the street on the National Mall, the European Union and the Hirshhorn Museum present State of the Arts Night, an after-hours showcase of collaborative performances, interactive projects, and a late-night electro-house dance party.

DC Art All Night is a festival that takes place in all eight wards with different activations on each night, bringing visual and performing arts, including painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, fashion, music, literary arts, dance, theater, film, and poetry, to indoor and outdoor public and private spaces, including local businesses and restaurants.

The European Union, in partnership with the Hirshhorn Museum, invites you to a one-of-a-kind after-hours experience: State of the Arts Night. Join artists from across Europe and the United States for an evening of collaborative performances, interactive projects, and thought-provoking conversations.

The evening will demonstrate what can be accomplished when Europeans and Americans work together, hand in hand. European-style foods and products will be available for purchase at our European Market, in addition to wine and beer in our lounge. The evening will end with an electro-house music dance party.

This event is presented in cooperation with the European Union Delegation in Washington, DC, in collaboration with the embassies of Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden.

Passes are sold out, but additional guests are welcome to join the walk-up line. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis as space allows.
