MarketSW Headbanger Helmet Art Show Exhibit

Helmets become canvases at the Headbanger Helmet Art Show, a pop-up art exhibit presented at the Market SW this summer.

Inspired by the theme of Art for Active Transit, the exhibit features the custom designs of eight DMV-based artists. Showcasing a diversity of styles, mediums, and stories, bike and motorcycle helmets have been transformed from essential safety gear into vivid objects of art.

Curated and designed by Common Collective, the exhibit invites audiences of all ages to explore these intersections in creativity, take home some original sticker art, and enter for a chance to win one of the featured helmet artworks.
