Community Tables: An Evening of Joy, Belonging & SW Pride!

Join us for Community Tables, an evening designed to spark connections, creativity, and celebration in Southwest! This year’s event is all about joy, belonging, and SW Pride, with a mix of hands-on activities, treats, and surprises to share with friends old and new. This event is first-come, first-served, but please sign up so we can anticipate interest!

What’s Happening?

• Conversations with snacks – meet neighbors over tasty bites
• Paint flowers with a local artist, Thu Nguyen
• Receive haikus on a vintage typewriter (poet Dylan Tran)
• Design your own button — perfect for showing off your SW pride! (with Southwest artist & crafter, Christina Hernandez)
• Send sunset postcards to yourself or a friend
• Kids’ bingo with prizes
• Read books with Ms.Shoshana from the Southwest Library
• Improv dance/storytelling with short, lively sets! (dancers Claire Alrich, Jadyn Brick & Emi Kawashima)
• Poetry sharing by Neha
• And more!

Fuel for the Fun
Enjoy empanadas from Colada Shop, accompanied by plantain chips and fruit platters. What’s summer without ice cream? (while supplies last!)

Come meet neighbors, share in SW’s creative spirit, and leave with a little something special—whether it’s a new friend, a handmade button, a sunset postcard, or just a heart full of joy.
